(1) Short for Abstract Window Toolkit.
The AWT is part of the Java Foundation Classes (JFC), the standard API for
providing graphical user interfaces (GUIs) for Java programs.
(2) Short for assemble, wire, and test. An IT term often used when having custom system or network configurations installed on-site. The system provider will perform all aspects of deployment, which can be broken down into three phases from assembly to wiring and testing.
