bigwig

Formally written as < bigwig > it is a high-level programming language for
developing interactive Web services. The bigwig language is a collection of
domain-specific languages focusing on different aspects of interactive Web
services. These contributing languages (C code, HTTP, HTML, JavaScript, and SSL)
are held together by a C-like skeleton language. Bigwig is no longer actively
developed. in its place is JWIG, a Java-based successor to bigwig. Bigwig and
its successor, JWIG was developed at the BRICS research center at the Department
of Computer Science, Aarhus University, Denmark.
bigwig The goal of the bigwig project is to remove many of the obstacles that face current developers of Web services to lower cost while increasing functionality and reliability, compared to CGI/Perl scripts, ASP, or PHP based solutions.
