A Microsoft technology that is used to improve the appearance of
text on your
screen. It improves readability on color LCDdisplays with a digital interface,
such as laptops and flat panel displays. Readability on
CRT screens can also be
somewhat improved. ClearType is included in Windows XP as well as
in Microsoft handheld computers.

Microsoft ClearType Tuner This Microsoft Web page requires an ActiveX control. Use this online tuner to turn on and tune your Windows XP ClearType settings. If you experience problems download the Windows XP PowerToy version of the tuner. Please note that the online tuner does not currently work with Windows Vista.
