An open source project community Web site hosted by Microsoft. Developers can use CodePlex to create new projects, join others who have already started projects, or to use the applications on the CodePlex Web site.
CodePlex supports a number of OSI licenses including Apache License 2.0, Common Development and Distribution License (CDDL), Eclipse Public License (EPL), GNU General Public License (GPL) v2, GNU Library General Public License (LGPL), Microsoft Public License (Ms-PL), Microsoft Reciprocal License (Ms-RL), Mozilla Public License 1.1 (MPL), New BSD License, and The MIT License.

LinuxToday: Microsoft Launches Open Source Foundation The foundation is initially being funded by Microsoft and will be led by Microsoft's Sam Ramji. Novell's Miguel de Icaza will be part of the new foundation's Board of Directors (don't forget Microsoft and Novell have an interop and patent deal).
