direct-view TV
Last modified: Thursday, November 10, 2005
A direct view television is the type of television we all are familiar with,
it's been around for many years. Direct-view televisions use a
CRT and a
scanning electronic gun to "paint" an image on a phosphor coated screen.
Direct-view televisions are now, however, available in analog,
digital and HDTV versions.
For digital TV, direct view displays are basically
traditional color televisions which are updated for digital TV broadcasting.
