LIM memory
Last modified: Saturday, May 16, 1998
A technique for adding memory to DOSsystems. LIM memory lets you exceed the 1MB (megabyte) memory limit imposed by DOS. The name derives from the initials of the three companies that designed the technique -- Lotus, Intel, and Microsoft -- and is sometimes referred to as LIM 4.0, which is its official name.
