Lotus Notes
Last modified: Monday, August 11, 2003
A groupwareapplication developed by Lotus, now part of IBM. Notes was one of the first applications to support a distributed database of documents that could be accessed by users across a LAN or WAN. Its sophisticated replication features enable users to work with local copies of documents and have their modifications propagated throughout an entire Notes network.
For many years, Notes was the only full-featured groupware solution.
Notes.net Notes.net is hosted by Iris Associates, developers of Domino/Notes. It contains product news, a discussion forum, technical papers, trial version download links, and a link to NotesNIC, a Notes directory service that provides a way for Notes sites to locate and communicate with each other.
