paper-white display
Last modified: Sunday, September 01, 1996
A high-quality monochromemonitor that displays characters in black against a white background. Such monitors are popular for desktop publishing because they most closely mimic real paper with black type. Some manufacturers make a distinction between normal white-background monitors and paper-white monitors, where the background is slightly tinted to look more like bonded paper.
