Intel Rapid BIOS Boot is an option in the Intel BIOS that significantly reduces BIOSboot time without sacrificing important functionality. This results in faster POST (Power On Self Test) times that eliminate redundant code, reduce legacy features, and implement selective hardware usage and configuration logic. Rapid BIOS Boot has been available on Intel desktop boards since 2002.*
