Abbreviated as SIF, the Standard Input Format is
a video format specified by the
MPEG committee that was designed for the transmission and storage of
digital video. The SIF format specifies
resolutions of the following:
NTSC (525/59.94 SIF Format) is 352x240 x29.97fps
PAL (625/50 SIF format) is 352x288 x25.00fps

The Standard Input File (SIF) Format Each line of the input file is either a data line or a comment (blank lines are ignored). Comment lines begin with a # sign and may be ignored or copied to the output file by the modeling code.
